I think my IP address has been banned from certain websites.

Like the subject says, I think my IP address has been banned from certain websites.  When I try to view www.barnesandnoble.com, I get the following message:

This page is unavailable due to either geographic restrictions or other restrictions in place at this time. NOTE: other restrictions can be a result of our security platform detecting potential malicious activity. Please try again later as the restrictions may be lifted, or contact your service provider if the issue persists.

ID: 3140008799644018427

And when I try to log in to my account at Aetna.com, I get this message:

Oops! Looks like something has gone wrong.

ADN: 11675977988415671361

This happens from any computer or phone on my network.  But when I log on to either of these through my phone via cell service, or a computer connected to someone else's network, both websites load correctly.

So I'm thinking my IP address has been marked as a spammer or something in a database somewhere.  Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks!

It's going to be difficult for me to find a block of more than 24 hours when we are not using the internet.  Perhaps over a weekend when we are not too busy.  I will see if I can find time to do it.

Short of that, is there any other way?

Thanks!

Some edge cache hosts are using attack detection that's not compatible with ad blockers and modern browser security features.  I was getting strange errors like that too.  Most of them fall back to a Captcha now.

A common reason your address ends up being banned like this is that virus or malware on your computer is attempting to hack or infect the sites that you go to.  Their software detects this and bans you.  I would suggest first scanning your machine with a good anti-virus program, do a full deep scan, look for root kits, AVG or Avast you can install free and scan.  Kaspersky is good in terms of finding things but eats a lot of resources.  Second program I would suggest is MalwareBytes, again you don't need to pay to manually scan and it is very good at rooting out malware.  If those things don't turn up problems you may need to get professional help cleaning your machine(s).
