Please disable the public hotspot on my router

I don't want my router to broadcast the public 'xfinity' hotspot. Please disable it for me. Thank you.

Which modem did you buy? I'm strongly considering replacing my Comcast Modem with a different one so I don't have to put up with the "xfinitywifi" and "XFINITY" networks my modem is broadcasting.

The instructions at Xfinity Public WiFi Hotspot Enable/Disable that is pinned at the top of the Forum are wrong. There is no Manage Xfinity Wifi tab under Manage Services. For some reason, my modem/router is broadcasting both an "xfinitywifi" open wireless network and an "XFINITY" WPA2-Enterprise

Yes, I am still having trouble. I believe that I am being blocked by the websites due to being on a couple of Blacklists. I used http://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-check to discover that I am being blocked by dnsbl.sorbs.net, dul.dnsbl.sorbs.net

It's going to be difficult for me to find a block of more than 24 hours when we are not using the internet. Perhaps over a weekend when we are not too busy. I will see if I can find time to do it. Short of that, is there any other way? Thanks!

Ability to turn off Xfinity Hotspot Disappeared

After power cycling my Comcast leased router, the Xfinity hotspot turned on. I went back to the website but the option to turn it off is not showing any more.. see screen shot.. how do i turn it off?
