How to setup Static Routing

We have a CG3000DCR and wonder if static routing work on this router?

We log in to the router web interface, click "Lan", "Static Routing" which brings up a form with the following fields:

Name:
Destination IP:
Subnet Mask:
Gateway IP:

In which we fill in

MyTest

111.222.33.0     (this one from the example on the Help page)

255.255.255.0

50.254.abc.de    (one of the static IP we got from comcast)

It does not matter what we use in the "Destination IP", the form show

Status: Invalid LAN IP Address.

Any idea what is wrong?

Hello quetek,

The Static Routing you are referring to only pertains to the LAN DHCP 10.1.10.10 to 10.1.10.199 default dynamic addresses.

Hope this helps you out.

It seems to take private ips such as 10.1.10.0, 10.1.11.0, ...  But didn't solve our public <=> private ips problem.
