How do I setup Outlook 2010 Outgoing Mail Server for use with NON-Comcast email address???

How do I setup Outlook 2010 Outgoing Mail Server for use with NON-Comcast email address??? My incoming mail server is set for a different host like Godaddy, b/c that is where our website is hosted, but I cannot get the right settings for the outgoing mail server. Since I am not using a comcast email I do not have a username and password to use with the outgoing mail server. Can someone please help ASAP!

Thanks!!

Welcome ApexPayroll. The Comcast SMTP mail servers require a valid Comcast email address or a Comcast hosted domain for authentication.  Here is a link to Link to general instructions on Outlook setup.

Thank You

That cant be right. We are a business and we have business emails that we use, not comcast emails. We have our own outlook software that we bought. Not the free software from comcast. We need to be able to acces the outgoing mail server using our business emails.

Hi ApexPayroll.  You can have your email service hosted on the Comcast servers and continue to host you website content elsewhere. Comcast SMTP mail servers are not open relay servers and does require authentication.  Here is a Link to the steps in order to set-up hosted email while maintaining site content with your current host provider.
