Having loads of connectivity issues

As of recently, my android devices have been unable to use the internet, and I am in general having loads of issues with latency on my network.  My wireless routers are just access points, and I am not able to in general just stay connected.  I'm bashing my head against the wall trying to figure this out and would love any assistance possible.

Is it just wireless clients that are having issues or are wired connections struggling as well?

Hello Srpowers1215 and welcome,

If you are having connection loss on wired or wireless and you are using your Comcast gateway (CG) intrinsic LAN DHCP  log into your CG with any computer having an ethernett cable plaugged into any iof the 4 LanPorts, bring up a browser and use 10.1.10.1 then click enter, when the login comes up username=cusadmin and password=highspeed. Then get into the LAN user interface segment and make sure that you Pri and Sec DNSs are set to 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.76.76 and your LeaseTime = FOREVER, click apply and/or save settings to make these changes stick. The reconnect all your devices and they will now be permenantly connected due to their dynamic IP address never expiring.

Hope this helps you out.

Download and install the following on your Android phone:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer&hl=en

Now with that running walk around and get a feel for what channels are being used and at what power levels

Then login to your access points and change the channel to something that isn't conflicting.

If you have multiple access points you should be running WDS on them.  Otherwise your APs will be fighting with each other.
