comcast down consistantly

Just want to know why our business services are consistantly down. every single month they go down. Every single month the credit card machine, voice and internet go down. We cannot run a business this way. Every month we call and get a credit, every month we waste more time and energy fighting with comcast. this is so conter productive. every month we see the "infinity" truck on our street. Today went and talked with the technician, per usual, a shoulder shrug! same attitude in techincian support. Fact is we have to manipulate the call in support number just to get to talk to someone. Comcast gives reasons just to throw up.

What your seeing is not normal.  Have you called into Comcast and gotten a trouble ticket filed?  Comcast tracks back the statistics on a connection for a month.

The #1 reason for intermittent connectivity issues is poor cabling leading to signal levels at the modem being out of spec.  The majority of time the poor cabling is INSIDE the customer's building.   Comcast, LIKE ALL TELECOM COMPANIES, charges a fee to work on cable that is INSIDE the building.  HOWEVER if they come out and find the cabling inside the building is good - and the cabling outside the building is bad - they WON'T charge.  They ALSO will not charge if the cable modem is bad and you are renting the modem from them.

As a result it is common for customers to refuse Comcast service offers because the customer is convinced their inside cabling is good and so they will refuse to agree to be charged if the tech finds bad inside cabling.  If you do that and refuse the offer of a Comcast service tech to come out to your site - then absolutely nothing is going to happen to fix the problem.  Comcast cannot troubleshoot the line without being on your property and if you won't let them be there because your afraid of being charged, then your screwing yourself.

I have the same unreliable service and it kills my business every time...no credit card, no phone, no internet.  I know it is from lousey cabling. I  switched to Comcast right after they ran the cables to our strip center.   I have the same interior cabling as before Comcast, its the Comcast cable that is poorly done...evidently any rain, washes out the service.   Customer service is nothing but a cruel joke.  They totally do not live up to their promises so why would anyone trust them to come to your site and "maybe" get charged.  Sure call and get a service ticket, it will live up to the service they have delivered so far.
