Can't stay connected

Wow, just typed up a whole post about our problem only to have the connection drop and lose all we had to say.  Tech support says we are dropping out over 1,000 times an hour.  They have changed everything they can change and the last status was that "there is a lot of noise on your side of the street"....someone help!!!

Hello Wags and welcome,

Please provide the following info:

1.  What Comcast Gateway (CG) do you use?

2. Do you use DHCP or Static IP? If you are using staticIP and have a FireWall (FW) or Controlling Router (CT) and are ugining this devices inherent DHCP, then log into CG connecting a computer to any of the LanPorts 1-4, bring up a browser, username=cusadmin, password=highspeed, click on LAN, then put cursor over check box next to enable DHCP and clock to uncheck, then click apply. This will stop any networking DHCP conflicts between your FW or CR and you CG DHCP servers.

3. if you are running intrinsic DHCP, logged into your CG connecting a computer to any of the LanPorts 1-4, bring up a browser, username=cusadmin, password=highspeed, click on LAN and make sure you LeaseTime=forever and DNSs are set to 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.76.76.

Hope this heps you out.
