Can we get an outage reporting system like residential has?
With the constant conectivity issues, it seems silly that we have no way of reporting or checking on outages as "buisness" customers. Even somthing like the SMS system residential customers have would be welcome.
Without it, we have to rely on external services like down detector.

Hello Kukako and welcome,
You can check for outages using these methods:
1. Log into your Business Class Portal via your smart phone, etc and use http://businesshelp.comcast.com/help-and-support/accounts-billing/check-comcast-service-health-status-outage/
2. Use this link to access Comcast Outages......
3. as you mentioned https://downdetector.com/status/comcast-xfinity/map/
Hope this helps you out.

If my internet access is down, I can not connect to my account page to check for an outage. Nor has that ever in my experiance provided any information. So this just reiterates the problem. If there is an outage, I have no way to report it and no way to get informaton about it.
Residential service has an SMS option, where I could send a text from my mobile phone and get a response as to current outages and their expected resolution time. I find it anoying that buisness service lacks this.

I am a little confused about this statement " Residential service has an SMS option, where I could send a text from my mobile phone and get a response as to current outages and their expected resolution time. I find it anoying that buisness service lacks this. " You have telephone service using SMS on your smart phone and your phone provider service do not have any internet service? Could you please explain a little further. Thanks.
Most smart phone providers provide phone service with integrated internet service. If you have internet service on your smart phone you can log into the http://businessclass.comcast.net and obtain business outage status with restoration time included. Comcast is working toward providing SMS testing to business class customers.

As a comcast residential customer, I could text "outage" to a given number and get back a response as to known outages in my area and expected resolution times.
This feature does not seem to be available to me as a business customer.
