Business internet keeps dropping

I have a comcast business internet and phone line and every day i loose wifi connection. I have to reboot twice sometimes 3 times before my wifi is working again. It is very frustrating when you try to run a business. Can anyone explain to me what could be the reason specially if my modem is only 8 months old? I appreciate any help i can get before i decide to switch to centurylink. Dan

Hello Painterspalette and welcome,

 

Please contact 800-391-3000, use technical high speed internet option, provide your Comcast business account number, then ask the technical agent to log into your Comcast Gateway to check the following setting:

1. WAN segment has DNSs 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.76.76 programmed within

 

2. LAN segment also needs to have DNSs 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.76.76 programmed within and also
** leasetime=FOREVER

 

3. Next make sure that your upstream & downstream power levels and Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) are all in spec. If these are not then you will been to have a technician dispatched to you business location for this to be resolved via replacing deteriorated splitters, coax cable connector, etc.
