Whitelisting

Just got the Comcast Business Gateway. I called support to disable the xfinity hotspot, no problem. I asked if their router software had the ability to have a whitelist (limit access to one domain). The support guy basically said, I haven't heard of it, so it doesn't.

Does anyone here know for sure or do I just need to add another access point that does have whitelist capability?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Hello JAlspaugh and welcome,

None of the Comcast modems provide any " whitelist is a list or register of those that are being provided a particular privilege, service, mobility, access or recognition.   ", facilities whatsoever. If you currently have a Comcast DPC3939B you can use the wireless MAC address filtering to handle only allowing particular wireless device NICs access to your 2.4 or 5.0 Ghz wireless facilities. The filtering facilities can be accessed by ENET connecting a computer to any of the LanPorts 1-4, then bring up a browser, type 10.1.10.1 and username=cusadmin, password=highspeed, and check the GUI interface facilities available to you.

Hope this helps you out.
