What is difference between remote office and be anywhere, call forwarding?

Hello,

We have our Voice Edge system set up so and rings out to our small hunt group (4 members) simultaneously.  then after 15 or so seconds if no one answers an incoming business call "live" the call goes to the voice attendant. How do we set it up so that ONLY calls that are routed or transferred to a particular extension by the Voice Attendant have ONLY those individual calls forwarded to their remote phone number. We do not want all incoming calls to ring on their individual alternative phones, which is what happens if they have "Be Anywhere" or "Remote Office" (what is the real difference between these?) enabled. So to be clear, only calls that are routed to their Voice Edge extension go to their alternative phone of if they do not answer there, the call goes then to their Voice Edge voice mailbox.

Thanks!

Hello bmlvail and welcome to forums,

I have a few thoughts on your feature issues but I would need more details to your situation. With those alternative or remote numbers are these cellular phones or landline number? This will give better explanation as to which feature will work bets to your liking. For example if the number is a landline then the best feature is the "Be Anywhere" feature as the call will ring to both the office number and the selected remote number. Here adjusting ring times before getting to voice mail would be a simple setup for each location. If the number is a cellular smart-phone then I would suggest using our Business VoiceEdge app that can be found at the Google app store or the iTunes app store. Using the "Remote Office" feature would end with the calls going to the remote number's voice mail so I don't think this would be the best feature for you. For better details please send me a private message with the exact numbers and what you want them to do so we can get your services running as you need.

Thank You

OK,  But with all that you still did not answer the question.  What is the difference?

Hello abeitler,

I apologize if my answer was wordy and confusing. The "Be Anywhere" feature will ring to your office and selected remote number. The "Remote Office" feature is about accessing calling features like basic call forwarding, without being at the location. I hope this better answers your question.

Community,

When I call 888-710-6080 i am asked to enter the telephone number and #, then i'm asked to enter the passcode.  Its telling me that I will have to contact the administrator to reset my passcode because i'm locked out.  I have called comcast business and was told this service belongs to another company, WindStream.  It is not!  What number do I call to talk with the administrator to reset my passcode so I can use call forwarding remotely?
