Selective Call Rejection

I would like to know if there is a way to reject all calls with the exception of a few predetermined numbers. Since each phone gets a unique 10 digit number, some phones are targets of spam callers including my boss's. He would like the only calls that get to him be the ones that are transferred by the receptionist (or other calls from extensions from inside the office).

I have already looked throught the 'call rejection selective' under privacy and could not figure out a combination of settings to make it work.

Thank you.

Hi mech820.

Thanks for your question on managing your calls. Rather than rejecting all calls, I would recommend an alternate route using the Selective Call Forwarding feature:

https://business.comcast.com/help-and-support/voice/phone-managing-call-forwarding-routing/

Selective Call Forwarding

When you need to be away from your office and don't want to miss certain critical calls, you can choose to only forward calls that come in from specific phone numbers. Selective Call Forwarding allows you to create a list of phone numbers that will be forwarded to you at a designated number. When you activate this feature, only calls from the phone numbers on your list will be forwarded.

To activate Selective Call Forwarding:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.

  2. Press *63.

  3. A menu of options will guide you in managing this feature. The prompts will enable you to activate and deactivate the feature, as well as add and delete the numbers on your list.

Note: When creating your list, enter the area code plus the seven-digit number for both local and long-distance numbers and 011 plus the country code for international calls.

To deactivate Selective Call Forwarding:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.

  2. Press *83.

  3. When prompted, press to turn the feature off.

Please let me know if you need anything.

I do appreciate your response, but could you go into further detail on how I would implement this for my use case?

Rather than rejecting all calls, only certain calls would be forwarded to another party like a cell phone. However, you are able to use the Do Not Disturb feature but this would result in all calls being rejected.
