Hooking up a not registered physical phone to account

Hello, our company is having six physical phones with six phone numbers registered in the Voice Edge system. We are in the process of adding an additional phone number to the system, but we don't want to use the new physical phone sent from Comcast. Instead, we would like to register our own physical phone (not one of the six mentioned phones) to the system and hook it up to the new phone number. Is there any way we can do this by ourselves, or do we have to contact support for help? Thank you in advance.

@Comcast_Billie​ Hello, thank you for your response. The phone we are trying to set up is Polycom VVX 311. It is one of the phones that were provided to us a few years ago also by Comcast.
