BVE crazy BLFs today

We're seeing some really random BLF light-ups today Lights are blinking or on solidin different locations in the field, pressing the button does nothing, except once which brought up a message containing a possible caller ID and a mysterious FAC. Still able to place and receive calls and voicemail.

Anyone know what might cause this?

Hello efreitag_hs and welcome,

The following explains this for you:

" BLF = Busy Lamp Field

Typically a collection of lights or indicators on a phone that indicate who is talking on other phones connected to the same PBX or Key System.

Used by a receptionist or secetary to aid in routing incoming calls.  "

Hope this helps you out.

Thanks. I can't say that adds anything I didn't know.

In other news, the problem persists today. Our third call to support turned up the information that this is a known problem in California and Oregon. Engineers are working on it, but there is no ETR.

The problem disappeared last week, but today our busy lamp field (BLF) showed only the station it was displayed on and one other station on all phones. I contacted support and they said the CA BLF problem was still open with no ETR. They had me reset the BLF for each phone via the portal by removing all entries, saving, then adding the entries back and saving again.

There is certainly a lot of user-level maintenance and support needed for this cloud phone system.

I agree as far as the level of user maintenance required - we are new customers & it seems like every other day I run into an issue.
