Web access to Voicemail messages- why so s-l-o-w-w-w-w-wwwwwwww?
1. Why is it so agonizingly SLOW? Just refereshing the Voicemails page takes a full minute, and this occurs every time I delete a VM.
2. Why can't you provide an option to send the Voicemail audio file to my designated email address? Don't tell me its either the cost of storage or the cost of bandwidth - this is not 1999.
3. Why can't you provide integrated access to Voicemail in Outlook/Exchange? Do you have any clue how many businesses would subscribe for that service IF you implemented it correctly with reasonable service level guarantees (i know the last part would be next to impossible for Comcast, but you should at least be striving for it!).
4. FYI - based on your current service quality, the only part of your bundle with which I'm somewhat satisfied is Internet. It does stay up all the time and it provides decent speed, BUT, when Google comes to town with their fiber and GB+ speeds, I'm outta here like the RoadRunnder. Beep! Beep!

Hello jwm4 and welcome,
Please see my response below. Thanks.

I presume you are referring to the Digital Voice Center (DVC) and this facility handles all customer Telephone number(s) call control (Incoming Calls, Outgoing Calls, Messaging, etc.) , calls records (calls missed, calls answered, VMs, etc.) , etc. So when you delete a Voice Mail (VM), only thast record is deleted and then all the other records have to be repopulated, sequence updated, etc. I am not claiming to be in the bowels of the DVC development site, but just trying to give you some insight. What speed is your Internet bandwidth?

Hmmmm, have you checked out your DVC (sometimes referred to as Voice Portal, too) messaging facility detail to see if you can program your VM notification and/or encapsulations to your Email address(es) of choice ? I am aware of many Comcast voice portals where this is a supported feature.
3. Why can't you provide integrated access to Voicemail in Outlook/Exchange? This is a fantastic integration input ! However, I very seriously doubt that Comcast will be making any internal modifications to Microsoft (MS) Outlook application for the intuitively obvious reasons. As you are more than likely aware, MS does have an Enterprise Application Development for all MS Office application that Comcast customers can take full advantage of to implement your input.

Well, Comcast demonstrated 1 Gbps speed about 2.5 years ago and 3 Gbps this year at NCTA as this article mentions . So, pretty much like all technological evolution that Comcast has done and continues to do for its customers, this is all quality assurance tested across the regional market places before it is put into production for Comcast customers. Keep building muscle on your RoadRunner's feet because it may need that sooner than you think.
