My AT&T Phone won't work with Comcast VM?
I just switched from AT&T to Comcast (phone + internet).. I am tying to set up my voice mail system, but it seems like a few of the numbers on the phone (1 and maybe 😎 aren't recognized by the VM susyem. For example, if I try to create a 4-digit password, like 1-2-3-4, it throws an error saying I have to have a minimum of 4 numbers. At another point it asks me to puch 1 if I want to disable the password requirement. I press 1. The system asks me "are you still there? Press 1 for...blah blah blah."
I found a 4-year old thread in a Google search citing the same problem, with no definitve answers. Anyone else run into this? If so, and you had to buy a new phone, which brand did you buy that works with Comcast's VM system?

I also had a problem with my At&T phone. Comcast told me to go to Best Buy and they would understand my problem. I went there and told them the story. Their reply: "All our phones work with Comcast. Just plug it in."
Comcast doesn't give a rat's ass about their customers and I've been with them for over 8 years. The only reason I am is because they are the only game in town.

Hello dinofire & ccp and welcome to forums,
I would like to go over your current phone cable configuration with you but I am not able to access the needed information remotely. I mostly need to confirm if the phones being used are connected to the Comcast equipment via a 2-pin phone cable or a 4-pin phone cable. This may seem insignificant on the surface but in my experience can make all the difference in calls completing, features being accessed or fax transmissions completing. Please let me know what type of cable you are using so I can continue trouble shooting these issues for you both.
Thank You,
