How to identify forwarded calls ?
Is there a way to setup the call forwarding so I know it’s a forwarded call and not a call directly to the phone # it’s fowarded to?

Thanks for visiting our support page, JayDrumm.
Typically, you should be able to see the callers number when call forwarding always is enabled. To identify the different types of call forwarding features we offer, click Call Forwarding Features. If you still have more questions, send me a private message with your full name and the number in reference. I'd be more than happy to review your configuration settings.

I think I just asked this question on another thread. I need to know if a forwarded call to my cell from the office is a personal call or not. I am not seeing anything that identifies that call as having been forwarded from the office to my cell.

I have looked thru everything...not finding help I need (and I think others too)
If I forward business calls to my cell (when not in the office), I can see the number but I don't see a way to have that call identified as having been forwarded from my office phone (so I know it's not a private call and can answer it as if I am at the office)
Does that make sense?
Thanks
Keith

Hi there monafoundation and thank you for the question about differentiating between the forwarded and direct calls to your mobile phone. Depending on how you have the forwarding set up, you can enable the setting to "Play ring reminder when a call is forwarded" which would cause the phone to ring briefly (not a normal ring) to alert that it is a forwarded call. This link should help point you in the right direction: Manage Call Forwarding online . Please let us know if that helps 🙂

that only helps if you are sitting in the office. And if I'm sitting in the office....I don't need to forward my calls! To clarify, when I am sitting at home, Is there a way to identify if the incoming call is a forwarded call from my office, or someone calling my phone directly.
So I know to answer with my business response, or personal. Now that we're all working from home, this is essential.

This is the best feature to use when it comes to call forwarding. I am sorry there does not seem to be a feature that does this. Are you also using the Comcast Business app on that mobile device?

I see this was posted 3 years ago - I also see that over 7,000 people have viewed this. I think it would be an amazing feature to add that would help me differentiate the calls coming through my personal device.
