Dial tone like we have a voicemail
We do not have voicemail service with you. I called to ask why my phones show we have a voicemail and we get the same tone that we have a voicemail each time I go to make a call. They told me it was my phones issue. So I ready my phone manual and it told me how to turn of the wording on the phone saying we had a message but that still does not fix the dial tone.
Help!

I refreshed your message indicator, for some reason there was a ghost message stuck but should be gone now.

I'm having the same problem on a line that doesn't have the voicemail feature. It's a fax line and the stuttering dial tone is preventing us from receiving and sending faxes. Can someone please clear that?

Hello abs521554 and welcome to forums,
I apologize for the delayed response. I went over the provisioning for your lines and did not find anything that would cause this issue. I would like to send a rest to your voice equipment to refresh the device. Once that is complete you would need to rest your fax machine and ensure the stutter tone is gone. Please let me know when you would like me to send the rest.

This is happening to us too. We don't have Comcast voicemail but they accidentally turned it on a few weeks ago. They turned it off and said they deleted the messages but it didn't go away. They reset the system and said there were no messages. We reset our phone system. We still have it. It's been like this for 2 weeks. It's very annoying to hear it every time we pick up the phone.
