Caller ID Display
Hi,
I recently purchased a Tmobile Cellphone for my business. However when I would call people, including my Comcast Business Lines, the incorrect caller id would display (It would say a name, ex: John Smith - probably prior phone number owner, instead of our business name). I called T-Mobile and they adjusted it their system. This was a week ago, and when I try to call our business, it still shows up the old name on our Comcast Landline VOIP. I contacted T-Mobile and they indicated their system was fine, but the Caller ID services used by companies (I believe there are only two companies that provide the data), such as Comcast had not been updated. I was told to contact you guys, Comcast, to resolve it. What do I need to do?
Thanks,
Sam

Hello petvet and welcome,
Please see my reponses/comments below. Thanks.

This is very surprising because it is my understanding that Comcast Telephony Network does not provide any name Caller ID information for any cellphone specific information. Comcast only provides name Caller ID information for domestic and international landline calling telephone numbers. The only name information provided for cell phone is 'cellphone', but it does provide the cellphone telephone number within the Caller ID.
I called T-Mobile and they adjusted it their system. This was a week ago, and when I try to call our business, it still shows up the old name on our Comcast Landline VOIP. Again, Comcast does provide caller ID typically 15 character for each name and number information for landline telephone numbers. This is a progammable feature in any customer's switch that a Comcast agent can modify or typically a customer can also control within the online Digital Voice Center. Hope this helps you out.
