Domain Name Transfer

I am in the process of trying to transfer my domain name to GoDaddy.  It needs the current registrar to approve the transfer.  Is there any way to speed them up?

Hello Heather_Adams and welcome,

Log into your Busines Class Portal Administrator Email account then under Manage Services,Websites,Manage Websites.Domain Names, then click the edit button next to the domain name you want to transfer out, then click the edit button just below Domain Lock and select unlock, save or okay. This will then authorized this outgoing domain hosting company to move that domain name out of Comcast into Go Daddy.

Hope this helps you out.

I have already done all that and also paid at GoDaddy.  It says it is waiting on the current registrar to respond.  It just seems to be taking a while!

I see nothing to indcate comcast or whoever they use a ragistrar is doing anything.

If you continue to have this issue after today, please call 800-391-3000, use technical high speed internet option, provide your Comcast account number and request that the technical agent issue a Tier II ticket to get this completed for asap.

By the way, what is the domain name you are trying to move out of Comcast?

Heather,

I too am trying to transfer my web page and domain away from Comcast to another web host. I have the information from the "Manage Services control panel" but I'm not sure if I just set up a GoDaddy accounbt like you did and have them contact Comcast, or set up new hosting and have Comcast contact them? Did you resolve this? And what exactly did you do? I really appreciate any advice you can give! Thank you in advance, and have a great day!
