Comcast support is now telling me that even though I have a /56 static, only the first /64 can be used. Can anyone comment on this? Why would they assign a /56 then?

Sometime around 6pm Pacific time this evening, I noticed some odd connectivity issues to certain sites. The problem appears to be that I lost my IPv6 /56 PD, as my OpenBSD router running wide-dhcpv6 dhcp6c is now only receiving a /64.  My IPv6 dhcp6c configuration hasn't changed for several years (h

"IPv6 is basically unsupported for dynamic customers." Don't worry, it is basically unsupported for static customers as well. I've had IPv4 static service since November and they still have not figured out how to allocate my /56 that shows up on my a

Dual-Stack have been enabled on both the SMC D3G CCR and the Cisco DPC3939B..  If you dont have dual-stack reboot your device and the bootfile will enable it..

Comcast_Michael, I've opened almost 20 requests with phone support with tier 2 ignoring me on this same issue. I have a /56 and a Cisco modem, and I can't get any of the subnets assigned to my internal network. What is the point of a /56 when only th

I'm trying to use static, so I shouldn't be requesting prefixes. However, when I did request them, I was trying to get the /56 I've been assigned.

Yeah, I've got a Cisco as well. It will give a SLAAC, but I need to actually use at least 10 /64's, and ideally more.

I recently upgraded my business service from 50/10 to a higher tier (100/20) and was told that I needed to upgrade my modem from the netgear to support the newer speed - the netgear which was causing me some latency issues over time. I should say, that other than needed to reboot every 30-60 days, t

I'm also trying to get IPv6 in either bridge or passthrough mode. Let me know if you get anywhere, I'll do the same. Also on this Cisco modem/router/firewall/wifi access point when all I want is a modem.

I have an IPv6 /56 assigned to me that I can see on the modem and in my account page, and I have a static IPv4 /29 range that works fine. I'm also in a the Indiana market that Comcast says supports IPv6 statics. My assumption is that I can use the /56 on my internal network, and there should be a /6

I was just told by Comcast Support that although I have a static /56 IPv6 assignment on this website (at https://business.comcast.com/myaccount/Secure/ManageServices/Internet/ViewStaticIPSettings/) that goes along with my /29 IPv4 assignment, they can't assign it to my modem: Amara: I did take a loo
