Is there a detailed guide to forwarding hosted exchange email from one address to another? the website has a cryptic note: >>you must delete the account before you can forward<<
How about a step-by-step guide?
I see there is a forum moderator, Comcast_Jon. If you are monitoring this forum, would you please advise me as to what happens if I delete the Primary User in order to forward their email?
Please explain how to get Tier 2 to respond?
Welcome to the forum.
To your query, under no circumstance primary user should be deleted.
If somehow it gets deleted then the whole account access will be compromised requiring extensive rebuild.
So please do not delete the primary account.
This is our online information on regards to creating email forwards Create and manage email forwards online.
However for an active exchange email account, you will have to create a "rule" on an email client (Outlook) to forward it.
This is an article from Microsoft to make the necessary rule on the Outlook:
Comcast_Jon - I'm sorry my question was unclear, please allow me to try again - I am moving our exchange hosted account from Comcast to another host, because we have never been able to receive adequate customer support.
This is not about creating an Outlook Rule...this is about a customer who is no longer interested in doing business with Comcast.
I followed the Comcast posted directions for forwarding email from one account to another; the question is...what happens if I delete the primary account?
I do not want to continue the business relationship with Comcast - I want the posted directions to work.
Now can I receive a phone call from Tier 2? or do you have another solution?
We had also asked if the entire email from one domain could be forwarded to another..the response was no...really?
Thank you for the clarification and I am sorry to hear our support didn't met your expectation.
