I've seen this question asked but not answered. I am a new business Internet account and assigned a static /56. Google/Gmail requires IPv6 PTR RRs; and it's good DNS hygene. How do I get the PTR zone for my /56 assigned to my non-Comcast name servers or is there some other magic?
Thanks in advance.
I am happy to assist in setting up a PTR record. Can you please reach out through private message with the name, address and phone number on the account?
The PTR for the A (specific account information hidden) now exists in the Internet ether and is fine but there is not yet a PTR for the AAAA.
nslookup (account specific information hidden)
** server can't find 22.214.171.124.8.a.0.c.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.126.96.36.199.d.188.8.131.52.184.108.40.206.0.6.2.ip6.arpa: NXDOMAIN
That should resolve to (hiding account specific information)
Hello, I just wanted to reach out to you. I do show that we have that record for the IPV6 address updated for you. Are you showing this information on your end?
