Indicates that 802.11 g/n is for faster performance but there is not a 802.11 g/n mode option.
Which to use?
Hi, Mel. I recommend in using 802.11 ac. Please let me know how I can further assist.
I know this is an old post, but it popped out at me. I believe this is incomplete information. You may recommend 802.11ac since it's the latest available spec, but there are many more devices which support only 802.11n but which could make use of the additional speed 802.11n offers in 5 Ghz over 802.11n in 2.4 Ghz. So I believe "n/ac" mode would be better advice.
If the OP is still around, there is no 802.11g in 5 Ghz, it's only in 2.4 Ghz. And you could choose "a/n/ac" mode because the likelihood of anything connecting using 802.11a is minimal. It's a very old 5 Ghz spec which is very slow, yet some old business laptops may still support it.
