Switch to Own Modem
Good Morning,
I'm currently renting a modem and eMTA (phone), currently the modem is in full bridge mode but I'm getting extremely high latency (200ms-500ms) and some packet loss (0-10%). My intent is to switch to an approved modem (Motorola MB8600), I currently do not have a static IP address. I'm just confirming that the eMTA (phone) will continue to work on a customer owned modem, and also that this latency and packet loss is not normal for the comcast business network.
Thank you,
Rob

Re: Switch to Own Modem
Hi vaguy02 and welcome to the business forums.
I can certainly assist with your equipment. The EMTA would have to be leased for your phone services. This is required since we would need access to log into the interface to provision your phone lines. With purchased equipment, we are unable to do that. I can certainly assist with your internet gateway and look into the latency you're having. Please private message me your first and last name, the name of your business, the full address of your business location and the phone number associated with your business account.
