I would like to have the cusadmin password reset again please.
How can I go about requesting access to the 'mso' or similar admin account for the router? Searching, it sounds like there used to be a default password, but now it authenticates remotely or gets changed daily? Can a second admin account be created for customer use, so we can enable SNMP and monitor these devices in Nagios? Can the default password for mso be restored and devices exempted from the daily password changing on request?

Admin access to the network side of the gateway is restricted to Comcast technicians only per Comcast Corporate policies. The mso password is changed daily for security purposes.

Comcast_John, I am still unable to log in. I tried cusadmin with highspeed, password, Password, but none of those work. I tried both via http port 80 and https port 443. The error is "The login attempt failed."
My cable modem's MAC address is 78:cd:8e:cf:b4:e8

HI Laszlo. Our tier 2 group was able to verify login capability to the gateway using the default username/password. Try connecting the PC directly and using the LAN IP in the browser, no need to specify a port.
