Thank you for resetting the password, but I still cannot login to my SMCD3G-DDR gateway. Can you point me to where I can find the default username and password? I have tried a few that I have seen, but none of them seem to work.

I need mine reset to default also. I just tried to login to the SMC router/modem and discovered my password is no longer valid, and the default password I knew of doesn't work. So please pm me the default password.
Edit: Problem solved. Sorry for the noise.

I also am having this problem.
In my case, I changed the password on my Comcast Business Gateway to a strong 16 character password.
Upon saving, it asked me to login again.
The copy/pasted password is not being accepted. No typos here.
I don't want to reset the router and lose the settings.
Please reset the admin interface password on my modem.
I am also incredibly amazed that the router admin interface was exposed directly to the Internet! I did not explicitly enable WAN accessiblity to manage the modem.
What can I do to prevent this from happening again? What is the maximum password length that will avoid this problem? 8 characters? Where is the option to disable WAN management of the modem?

Welcome Bitblaster. Please see the PM as it contains your current LAN side password. Test utilizing your current password were successful. Remote login access via WAN interface is access list (ACL) restricted to comcast test center IP addresses and the password is changed each day. Your concern that the login screen is visible to anyone that knows the WAN IP has been referred to Comcast Engineering. Please check back for updates.

The reset is not working. When I try to login with the default user and password via secure socket https:// I get the following message:
Access Error: Access Denied
Detected CSRF Attack
When I login via regular http:// I get a simple "Acess denied"
