HI kliot. Please send me a private message with WAN MAC Address of the device. and I will have our Tier 2 agent verify that the username/password is set to cusadmin/highspeed as well as access via the LAN IP.

Could you please also reset the password on my gateway, which has been changed somehow. Thanks!
My username and password for SMCD3G needs to be reset also. It keeps saying login attempt failed? Does this mean it was the wrong username and password? Thanks

Hello Comcast_Jon,
I am also unable to log into the Comcast Business Gateway with the default password. Can you reset the password without resetting all the other settings?
Also, is there any way to access the the gateway from outside the office? It seems that every time we have a cable outage we have to reset the modem before we have internet access to the office. It would be nice to reset it remotely rather than having to drive into the office at 3AM to reset the modem before anyone else gets to the office.
Best Regards,

Same issue here. Unable to login to modem with default username and password. Please reset password. Let me know if you need additional info. Thanks!
Another one for the list. I too changed passwords using a generator so typing was not the issue. Immediately tried to log in but nothing works. Manual reset also does nothing.
Can you reset please? Thanks

Thanks for your efforts Jon. I even powercycled the Netgear - still no luck to log back in with the typical cusadmin\highspeed combination. If I were to reset the modem will it pull down the correct configuration without further required interaction? Any idea on when we can get routed ipv6?
Best regards
Sassan
skarai,
I've just reset the password once again on your IP-Gateway.
Please try to sign in again.
If you were to reset the modem (not power cycle but full reset using the reset button) it will set the device to factory.
It will download the latest firm and configuration. Please note however to save "any" custom setting you entered, such as port forwarding, website access and etc.
For information on IPv6 please join us here on the dedicated IPv6 community board.

Unable to logon to my Netgear CG3000DCR using default username and pword. Also, will these be the same ones to set up my network access?

Jon,
I even worked with the reset button on the gateway - stil no luck looging back in. I am at this point considering to repalce this Netgear CG3000DCR with a Cisco gateway to allow for Dual Stack assignment of IPs. As far as I can tell only the aging Cisco DPC3008 is currently officially suppoted. Any chance the Cisco DPC3010 will be officially supported by Comcast anytime soon?
Best regards
Sassan
Need some help getting into our modem here, default passwords don't seem to work and I don't remember changing it, any help would be appreciated.

skarai,
Sorry for the late reply to your question.
I've reset the IP-Gateway (netgear) as requested.
When you were trying access it did you directly connect to it?
As for CIsco DPC3010 it is not supported at this time but I will forward to our product support team for future consideration.
As for an alternative have you consider using our CISCO DPC3939B?
It is latest IP-Gateway in use with our network.
Thank you
My SMCD3G-CCR Comcast Business Gateway apparently locked me out - neither my credentials nor the default credentials would allow me to login.
Error message: The login has failed!
Can it be remotely reset? Thank you!
