I am having the same problem since the firmware was updated. I can no longer access my Router/Modem.

Can you reset the password back to default for me.

One more here in need of a modem login password reset. Glad to see it's a common problem. I knew something was up when all my usual passwords didn't work.

Forgot password to business class gateway

I have two gateways.  One which was just installed today and I know the password of and the second which I can't remember.  Could a Comast associate please remotely reset the password.  Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.

We can reset the password back to default for you; however, we need to know which "one" of the two IP-Gateways we need to reset.

Please send me a PM (private message) with the IP-Gateway's M.A.C address then I will reset it for you or I can reset them both if you prefer.

Hi.. I cannot login to my router with the default admin password.  I've tried resetting the device via the rear button to no avail.  Is it possible to remotely reset the device to factory settings so I can change a port forwarding config?

Hi John. Noticed I couldn't login to my SMC business class modem. I must have lost the password, or it changed for some other reason. Can you reset the password back to the default (I have that one)? Thanks!
