rDNS Delegation Request -- HELP!

Can I get somebody to please delegate the rDNS lookup for our /29 block -- We want to send the reverse requests to NS0.DNSMADEEASY.COM (primary) and NS1.DNSMADEEASY.COM (secondary).

 

When the block's been delegated, would you be so kind as to tell me which notation you've used for the reverse lookup (dash or slash... dash prefered).

 

I've had two separate tickets to go tier 2 to get this working, one of which is still open, and it's terribly broken.  I can't get anyone to call me or solve this issue.  It's clear that whoever worked on this last didn't understand what I was asking to be done.

Hello PeterGV,

 

Welcome to the forum.

In order to proceed with the request our IP Engineers will need the following information:

1.Your full name

2. Account number

3. IP Scope

4. Server information (ex: ns.yourdomain.com)

Comcast_Jon has fixed the problem.

 

Now I can just hope the Tier II support people, who have been codescending, clueless, and dismissive in their interactions with me -- and did not solve the problem -- don't screw it up.

 

I'll report back here if any further problems arise.

 

Comcast_Jon was a great pleasure to work with.  A true God-send.  I was pulling my hair out trying to get Support to understand what I wanted them to do.  "rDNS Delegation" isn't on their script, apparently.

Just to close the loop on this completely:  Our rDNS *has* been succesfully delegated, and we're seeing lookups going to our name server.

I need help with my rDNS zone please, I have been with the issue more than 6 month please.

Could you please set up my reverse zone in the ISP side please.

my business email is: contactus@gsmactx.com

I will send to you all information that you need to set up my reverse zone, because my mail server isn't sending email to my client because when their dns asked  for my reverse zone, Comcast still responding  and as you know it doesn't match with my dns reverse zone.
