I have a couple of services that I use on my network that I would like protected by SSL so that when I call the address when I am on the road, the data and such are encrypted. For example, I current call the service like this:
Since we do not provide SSL certificates, I would definitely advise reaching out to the Certificate Authority to make sure. There may be a need for them to validate the domain and if that is the case, you can always come back here and click on my handle (Comcast_Gina) and send a private message with your name, the business name, the complete service address (including city, state, ZIP, suite number, etc), and the phone or account number, as well as the IP and corresponding domain you'd like for us to set up a reverse DNS for 🙂
