Is it necassary to notify Comcast when performing network security scans?

As the title describes. My company is wanting to perform a security scan of our network infrastructure from an external location which will involve our static primary public IP will be scanned from another public IP . Is is necassary to notify Comcast as such ?

We are using OpenVAS to perform the scan. And plan to just to-do a plain port scan. Thank you for that number , I will give them a call to verify but just wanted to make sure that you guys were notified.
