We have frequent outages with comcast business internet. They sometimes last for a few minutes and sometimes for hours. Since our phones are also on comcast they often go out as well. Rebooting the cable modem sometimes seems to help but it's hard to tell as connectivity sometimes comes back on its own even if we don't reboot the modem. Sometimes even after rebooting the modem it still doesn't come back. Sometimes it seems to come back and the phones work but the internet doesn't work. It sort of seems to me like DNS issues sometimes. Thought I'd post here to see if others have similar quality of service issues with comcast business?
Friday we went down at 11, came back at 2, then down again at 2:30, then up again at 4, then down again at 5
Today we went down at 11, up again at 2, down again at 2:30, and now we're up again
To say that Comcast has provided the service I was afraid they would is - unfortunately - true...
(Also kinda funny that Comcast doesn't even include their own name in their spellcheck)
Hi pdberry2229. I have updated the Regional Support Center with your issue. A Support Center agent will follow up with you in order to resolve this issue.
Apparently they checked it yesterday - remotely - while I was at my other office location and it checked-out (according to them), so they didn't come out to our location (altho I do not think my location is the problem).
However, not 10 minutes ago, it dropped-out again. Fortunately for only a few minutes.
All of this reminds me of having a really fast car... that craps-out irregularly whilst I'm going through some twisty turns.
I'd like to know why these outages are occuring and if steps are being taken to rectify the problems. I was promised "business class" service, but am feeling no love for the service.
