Comcast Business HSI 16/3 Mbps, East Bay, CA. Been a customer for a few years, latency and speed have been mostly good, as advertised. In the last few weeks, though, after business hours (5-6pm), downstream has declined dramatically to ~3 Mbps (+/- erratically). This is a big problem as an IT teleworker with multiple VPN sessions. Not a specific service or route, total bandwidth suffers across the board.
I see a lot of similar complaints. Seems to have coincided with the holidays and rain storms, so is it a problem or a capacity issue? Is anything being done about this?
Hi, as you can see from mine and other people's posts that there is something going on through routes through the bay area sometime between 5-9pm or so almost every night. I'm routing through the Fairfield area through the bay area and a lot of streaming video and routes to other links are really slow during this time.
Update: @Comcast_Michael offered to have a tech come out to look, but since it suddenly seemed good for a day or two, I asked to wait. But it's been bad again since, so I'm taking him up on that offer.
