Our office had what appeared to be a brief internet outage yesterday. After connectivity was restored the phones did not come back online. After trying the usual things of resetting the router, modem and phones and not having luck there we contacted the phone company. They said that they are not receiving registration requests from the phones so the breakdown is somewhere in between.
Phone company suggested contacting Comcast and asking if the device is set to Bridge Mode and asked for a Level 2 tech to check if the firewall is not blocking SIP, especially if there were any recent equipment changes.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi yev_tik. The SMC gateway is not set to bridge mode as it has a fixed static IP assignment. The firewall is disabled and currently there is only one connected device registered on the LAN side. (Asustek device). This device has a static IP assignment, XXX.XXX.XXX.161. If the phone interface is behind the Asustek device try connecting directly thru the SMC gateway/router.
Hi yev_tek. Those are the two visible points on your current set-up that could affect your connectivity. Typically A power cycle on the SMC does not change the config. When you connected directly to the gateway did you assign a static IP to your system or utilize the LAN DHCP? Also what was the set-up in your original working configuration?
