I need to turn off Xfinity WiFi Hotspot. My modem is in bridge mode and it appears that WiFi is off. My employees are connecting and we need this turned off forever or a different modem without WiFi.
Still showing and employees are using it.
Our modem is in bridge mode, we don't use the Wi-Fi on the Comcast modem, we have a seperate router for Wi-Fi.
Would replacing the modem with a non Wi-Fi modem fix this issue?
Yes you can have the modem swapped out for a Netgear which doesn't have any WiFi capabilities. You can either call in to schedule the appointment at 800-391-3000 or let me know what days and time frames would be best for you to get a tech.
If this will fix the problem, let's swap it out.
We do have a static IP, this will be setup in the new modem, correct?
Will this affect anything else, like our wireless router etc.
Monday through Friday between 9AM and 2PM would work for a tech to come out.
