Backup Voicemail Line

Hi

I am a new Comcast Business user.  We currently have 4 phone lines going into our own phone system (Talkswitch).
Our internal phone systems handles our voicemail.  What I am curious about is, is it possible to have one Comcast voicemail box set up for overflow.  In case someone calls in while our current lines are in use.

Thanks for any help!

Hello Thirdlife and welcome,

Please see my comments/responses/questions below.  Thanks.

What version are you using ts-600, vs480, 9133i, ct.ts01.1 ?

Our internal phone systems handles our voicemail (VM).

So your Talkswitch handles all 4 incoming Comcast TNs and please confirm that your Talkswitch inherent VM is ONLY accessed if all 4 TNS are busy?

Do you use the Comcast Digital Voice hunt group or Call Forward Busy feature to route incoming calls into each of the Talkswitch 4 TNs?

I am not aware of any means to only send VMs into a Comcast TN VM Box if your Talkswitch VM facility is full.  One idea I can propose is to have one of your Comcast TNs not into your hunt group that has Comcast VM setup. If your Talkswitch does have an inherent VM full control function you can program incoming overload VM calls to that  Comcast TN that contains Comcast VM.

Hope this helps you out.

It's a Talkswitch CT.TS001.1

If all four incoming Comcast lines are in use (Like we have 4 active outgoing calls going on) then the caller calling into our office gets a busy signal.  What I am wondering is if it possible to use a Comcast VM as a backup voicemail just so callers don't get a busy signal.

Does that make sense?

Thanks!
