HELP! Trying to save business from bankrupcy!! Today I called comcast business to change my service address. I still haven't signed my new lease but needed to get started on figuring out the process. I tell the customer service rep that I need to move, my lease is up, and the cost is just too high and tell her the date we will need new service. Not long into the call I find out my bill is now going to be higher! I asked why because I have a 2 year contract? She proceeds to tell me that I have to get a new contract and that they no longer offer the discounts I had! I don't know what to do... We are moving to lower our costs just to keep the business open! Now I find out that I am going to be charged more and that I have to sign a NEW 2 year contract when my lease is for 1 year or pay a early termination fee, I just don't have it... My last lease was for 1 year and I can't be in the same situation in 12 months with a contract that last longer than I am able to access the premisses. She did offer to give me a $100 Visa gift card (takes 6 weeks, and heard others haven't got theirs) but that doesn't help my immediate trying to survive the next 3 months or the fact that if I sign the contract again I will be locked into a new contract that offers no more services for a higher price and puts me in a bad financial situation. She said she couldn't do anything else and that I would have to talk to customer retention after a few months. How would they help I would have just signed a new contract, they come out ahead no matter what. This is crazy! I am trying to figure out what is going on... I looked at my old contract I signed but can't find the TOS or anything, all the links don't work! I tried searching for it but can't seem to find one for the year I signed up (6/1/2017). Keeping my contract would be perfect as then it would be the same as my lease. I didn't know Comcast was like this. I know they charge a lot but didn't think I couldn't move and it was this bad. The early termination (I heard) was 75% of your service and they don't have to keep providing you service. I don't know how this is legal with such preditory contracts, I guess sometimes not, they got sued before. I understand they need to make money but a couple hundred dollars seems reasonable if they refuse to transfer your contract to a new location.
I am just trying to move and save my business the next 20 days will determine if I can stay open or have to file for bankrupcy! Now This! I don't even have enough money for food, trying to pay all the costs to start the new lease now I find out that staving might not even help as my bill will be higher and I will be forced into a new contract or an early termination fee that will shut my business down. I make under the poverty line every year but work hard to try to change my situation but Comcast isn't helping they are just basically going to put me out of business. I am disabled but don't take money from the state, I can't physically work a normal job since 2014... I am only 33. Just to get to my current office I have to have someone drive me but I still work. This business is my only way of making money, with all of this I am about to give up on trying to be independent and just quite my business. I know some people may look bad on my situation but I hope I can get some help resolving this....
I just want to keep my service, price and contract duration! I have to move to keep my business! This is getting overwelming!
