I recently called Customer Service looking to cancel my account as my business is closing. According to the representative I spoke with, it would cost over $1400 to cancel the service because I'd essentially need to pay to the end of the contract.
Is there no other way to cancel your service, as in a flat termination fee? It seems a little ridiculous to charge a business customer such an outrageous fee for cancellation, given the fact that many business closures are the result of financial hardship.
It has been nearly 1/2 a year since my business closed, and I have not been able to cancel Business Class and switch to residential.
Is there any one I can talk to about this? Or am I stuck paying for a service I don't need/want?
