Moving out of service area. Still Have to pay ETF??

We have been a long-time customer of comcast business and avid supporter. We are moving to a different city that doesn't have comcast, so we called to cancel. We WERE TOLD when we were signing our last conctract with comcast that if we moved to another area that didn't have coverage, we could cancel without an ETF. Now, they are saying that we will still have to pay 100% of the service that we will not be recieving!!! I am so DISSAPOINTED and I feel cheated!!!!

lealeelu, appreciate you sharing your experience and posting about your billing concerns. Where are you moving to? Customers moving to a non serviceable area in select markets are not subject to an ETF.

Thanks for following up, lealeelu. Unfortunately, Carmel, Indiana is not a part of the market that waives ETFs for this particular reason.

Sorry to hear someone else is in the same boat. We need to bump this thread up or something so we get a response.

Re: Moving out of service area. Still Have to pay ETF??

Can anyone help me? I am also facing this issue and you clearly state here that customers moving to a non-serviceable area are not subject to an ETF.  Why are we being charged for something that is not our fault (need to move to an area not serviced by Comcast)? How is this different than being forced to pay for a second plane ticket because the first plane had mechanical issues (something out of the customer's control)?
