I have a small business in my home. I've used Comcast for several years with a business account and static IP's. I must now sell my home after losing my wife and move. The area I moved to is surrounded by Comcast but is serviced only by Charter and AT&T only.
I talked to Rodney at Comcast to disconnect my service and I signed a disconnect eform. He said there will be a ETF but you can send an email with your account number and proof of your new address to . They will remove the ETF.
So, I returned my equipment last month and sent in the email. Never heard anything. I contacted the email again with the documents required with a plea. Nothing...
Received a call from Comcast Collections today asking for payment of the EFT. After going around the bush with this person she says... contact Customer Loyalty at 800-934-6789. Well I tell her I've done that and got stuck on permanent ignore waiting on an actual person to answer and there is no button to push to find Customer Loyalty. I guess she just wanted off the phone with me because I made sense and all she wanted was my CC#.
I don’t mind jumping through hoops to get this resolved but I think this has gone to being ridiculous. A $2400.00 ETF because I lost my wife and have to move? Can anyone at Comcast here me??
I've read these forums for a while now and have noticed daily activity by Comcast employees answering and resolving threads same day or within a day. Doesn't seem the case here. Not even a peep. I know you can look up my log in and see who I am and my account. So, why not a reply?
Well... I've been nice, respectful and patient. I've tried but it's the same old same old.
OK... day 22 after posting. No word from Comcast, no discussion here except for the moderator edited their advertised email address to send documents to removed the early termination fee.
How strange such a place like this exsists.

They are very outrageous with their fees. I have had nothing but bad instances with this company, communication is extremely poor. Tried to remove a phone line that I have not used and keep my very slow internet and they told me that I would have to cancel my entire account at about $2,000 as well. Smh. From here on out I will forewarn all business owners to seek elsewhere for better customer service and the leasing manager know she should refer a different company as well; I wish I listened when she said she heard complaints about them, also. SMH
