60 day disconnect charge on static ip business account moving to residential

After 9 years of business service just for the static IPs, I move out of my house and setup residential service at my new apartment.  I no longer need the static IPs.  Then I call to terminate the business service at the old address and now Comcast wants to extract another two months of payments, even though I am still a Comcast customer.  Glancing through this forum, it appears that this is a long standing tradition with this company.

 

Someday I will have a choice about my internet and TV services, and I will remember this wonderful treatment.
