Sharepoint Access Denied for Admin (me)

I have logged into my sharepoint after my account upgrade, and my account now lists "Access Denied" when attempting to sign in. My other user can sign in and view.

Please help.

Thank you.

I am actually using the link from My Account each time. This has occured with Chrome 35, Internet Explorer 11 and Firefox 29. All lead to the same end. Again, to be clear, my login is not being rejected. I just seem to have lost all rights to the sharepoint site that I am administrator of.

Hello kirkley,

Welcome to the forum.

The community would like to help but can you clarify a few item for us?

1. What is the Internet browser you were using to access it?

2. Do you know when this issue started?

3. Have you try to access the share point site on a different network?

Thank you

Hey Jon.  Thanks for the response.  All browsers that are updated to the most recent versions. Tried on pc and mac, deleted all cache, history etc.. The issue started after the recent migration/upgrade.  Yes, I have tried on different networks.

Jon, thanks.  I received a call from the ticket I logged the other day saying it was resolved.  I test it and it works.  Thanks.

I am having the same issue, but with a new business account. The regional support team was finally able to get the Sharepoint option to show up in my account portal, but now when I click the link, I get the "access denied for user" error message. I've tried logging in with different browsers on different computers.

When I called support, I was told there was nothing they could do, and that I'd have to call Microsoft.

Hi Jon,

I'm set up with my own domain, and login with that email address. It is possible that I tried to activate Sharepoint before adding the custom domain. There were some issues with my account initially--something about servers not syncing up?

Come to think of it, I'm unable to set up a website with my custom domain, so maybe it is a domain-related issue?

Thank you

-Daniel

Hello DHPhotography,

Welcome to the forum.

The community would like to help, but can clarify a few items for us?

1. When you activated the MyAccount did you create a "comcastbiz.net" email address?

2. Have you ever tried to activate the share point site prior to using the current email address?

Thank you

Daniel,

Thank you for trying that troubleshooting, I appreciate it and glad to be of assist.

Based on the result, this is appears to be sync issue on the email account and the server.

Server is asking for a credential which this account cannot provide.

Do you happen remember what was your "original" email address was when you were trying to activate the Share Point Site?

Additionally do you remember what the Share Point site's name was?

For the webhosting part:

That is a good sign.

You actually do want to select the comcastbiz.net to activate the webhosting.

Consider the comcastbiz.net domain as the "based" of your domain where you build everything on it.

Everything that is built on the comcastbiz.net will be mirrored on your domain.

Thank you

Hello Daniel,

Good conversing with you through the private messaging.

As we have discussed this issue stems from how your MyAccount was activated and the remedy is to either start from the beginning or have us try a re-sync it using a comcastbiz.net UID.

We appreciate your patience and if you have any other question or can help the community, please post.
We look forward to your presence in the forum!

Thank you

Well, I decided to take this to phone support. They reset my password. This did nothing. So they sent me to hosted services. The gentleman I spoke with then told me he could not do anything and that he would have to transfer me. He was nice enough to transfer me to Sales (?!?!?!).

This is the exact reason why I posted here first. Comcast really seems to be dipping in the Customer Support area of their business. The frightening this is that they don't really seem to care.

OK, now that my little rant is over, has anyone else had this problem since the upgrade? I have selected Manage Sharepoint services from the Account - Email Page. The site then asks for my login, I enter my login. I am then presented with Error: Access Denied on the Sharepoint site.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same problem.  Called Comcast and the guy told me he couldn't help and to call microsoft.  I have used the link I received in email as well as logging into my business account and clicking on the "Manage windows sharepoint" link on several computers and several different types of browsers.

It brings me to the sharepoint page but says "Error:  Acess Denice.  Current User  You are currently signed in as : W14B\ (my user account)  It also says "sign in as a different user and request access.  However, I am the admin. none of the other employess can log in either.

however, I cannot go anywhere
