Need help configuring pfSense 2.3.2 with SMC router

I'm running pfSense 2.3.2 with an SMC router.

SMC details:

    hardware version 1.01

    firmware version 3.1.6.57

location: Nashua, NH

I've seen lots of conflicting information on how to best set up the pfSense configuration.

What are the recommended settings?
