Second request
I need assistance recovering the password on my equipment. The two defaults aren't working. Posted a request for assistance last week, and have never gotten a response.

I'm not an official representative of Comcast/Xfinity or anything but if you run the default settings in the router you could just reset it and that will default the password. If you do this reset it will likely make the username either "admin", "username", or nothing and the password either "password, "admin", or the default one it says on the box.
