Thanks for reaching out with this request! We totally understand that an interruption of service is inconvenient, and we're here to help. Have you attempted to follow the steps here to change the password? This wouldn't interrupt the internet signal, but it will end any connection that is using the old password. Please let us know if this helps!

Hi Joshua,

That page describes how to reset the wifi passwords, not the cusadmin password for the router.

@robtow

FYI: I ran into a similar issue just a few days ago, and I did NOT need to reset the ENTIRE modem to factory defaults, although perhaps that may work also, however, I called Comcast Business tech support, and the rep over the phone was able to reset the modem's ADMIN PASSWORD and NOTHING ELSE to factory defaults, as there were many complex port forwarding configurations. All settings were preserved, and the process only took about 15 minutes from phone call to repair complete. All the other customized router settings were retained.

Cheers,

Daniel

I understand. My apologies for the confusion. Resetting that password will require that services are interrupted. To reset your cusadmin password, you will need to perform a factory reset by holding down the pinhole on the back for at least ten seconds.
