Need to move the modem to new location & I have a TV & modem cable ??

I have 2 coaxes coming into my building. One was for TV & one is for the internet. 

 

Can I move the modem to the TV coax? That line is close where I want to move the router. Or is the internet only on a single coax?

 

Renovations are requiring the move.

Thank you for your patience and for that great question! I definitely understand wanting to move the internet modem since you are currently having some renovations. I had to do the same thing with moving my modem the other day to work in another room in my house. As long as the coax is live and working with our TV service, you would be able to switch the modem to work on that outlet. Make sense?
