Motorola SB6141 in Bridged mode??
Anyone,
During the install of my internet service I was told by the installer, that because I own my modem (SB6141) that Comcast wil not put my modem in true bridged mode. Is this correct? Why?
Thanks for any help in this matter,
Ryan

So any type of basic cable modem that you can buy retail is already, in effect, in "true bridge mode". "True bridge mode" is only applicable/available on Comcast-rented gateway units; having it enabled turns off all routing/firewall functions of the gateway and makes it act like a basic cable modem (such as your SB6141).
