Issues with WiFi connections w/ Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, macs, etc.) on Comcast
I have 10 Apple products that will connect to Comcast WiFi but will NOT stay connected. It does not matter if I reset the modem or use 2.4 or 5.0. I have setup a hidden network and turned off all security (no WPA/password) and it seems to be ok for a few hours, but I know this is not safe.
Here are a few things I have noticed:
1) if it’s from Apple, I have problems
2) when something doesn’t load, I turn off WiFi and the page/app/iCloud loads w/o issues
3) (MAJOR OBSERVATION) when I am on another Xfinity/Comcast network outside the office, it does the SAME exact thing!
4) visitors/customers all have the same problem on my network.
5) reboot/reset modem has no effect
6) clearing cache, browser history, powering off the phone has no effect in connectivity.
7) it’s now a major issue since getting the latest Motorola Business Class modem.
Comcast likes to close these forum posts when Apple is involved so no solution can be found. COMCAST — PLEASE DO NOT LOCK/CLOSE THIS POST until a real solution has been found!!!
