CM2000 Nighthawk
Does anyone have any experience using the Nighthawk CM2000 Cable Modem with their Comcast Business internet? It's not listed in the list of approved devices (https://business.comcast.com/support/internet/comcast-business-cable-modem-device-compatibility), but it's an even higher spec then the approved Netgear devices. Is it truly unsupported?

Hi there, redstar918! Thanks for bringing your gateway questions to the Xfinity Business Forum! The Nighthawk CM2000 is not certified for use on our network and won't be able to be activated with Comcast Business Internet, sadly.
We do support this modem with our residential services, however. So, if you are a residential customer, as well, and would like to purchase this modem for home use, you can!
I hope this helps answer your question!

Thanks! I should have figured, but it is helpful to know.
As a follow up, I decided to go with the CM1200 (which does appear on the list)
When it arrives, what's the fasted way to get it setup with my Comcast Internet Service?

CM2000 Shows as a compatible modem now. I activated Netgear CM2000 today but looks like agent activated it as CM1200 instead. I am now getting error messages in modem log as incompatible file downloaded. How do I get model updated in the system so modem can download correct config. file.
Modem is working fine just getting error in the log on reboot. Initially it downloaded correct generic walled garden file with right cm2000 model name at the end when modem was not activated.
SW Download INIT - Via Config file d11_m_cm1200_bcigigabit_c05.cm
Clearly listed as compatible modem here:
